I'm an aunt!

I was so excited when the phone rang this morning. It's my mom. 

My first question was: So is he here already? 

Yes, we have been waiting for Jon expectantly for months now. And finally, it is time. 

He arrived at around mid-day, weighing in at almost 3 kg. 

We finally got to meet him... 

The feelings are often indescribable and magical whenever one cradles a newborn. The making of a life is such a mystery that we human can never fathom. And it feels... oh the elation this blessing brings. I feel so happy for my brother and sil. And yes, in that tiny moment I was cradling Jon, motherhood was being renewed. I wouldn't deny that, for a fleeting moment - just a twinkling instant that shot past me - it's nice to have another baby again.

Look at those eyes... same shape! *Gasp* I really think they look a lot like their grandfather...

Bryan to Daddy: I'll say "boo" and you'll say "who", ok? Boo! 

Daddy: Who? 

Bryan: Don't cry, Daddy. It's just a joke! 

We were pretty tickled, even though it's a joke he copied off Dora.

Over the weekend, Daddy and Bryan had a great time telling each other about the pink panther's jokes... 

It's so good to hear chatter and laughter! 

Thanks Alan for the time tonight. The kids really missed Daddy for the past weeks: the evenings and nights when you were travelling!

Just another 4 full days and Alan will be back...

I was actually planning to blog everyday so that Daddy could keep up with what's at home. Too busy, really! That was wishful thinking on my part.

Daddy is being dearly missed back home, especially so by Kristin. And the frustrating part is she just wails and cries for even more attention! She knows that Daddy's been away and since two Sundays, she's been sleeping rather terribly. And worse, she cries every night! Some nights worse than the others.

Since last month, we've got an addition to our family.

It's Wii!

Not only is Bryan hooked on it, so are Daddy and Mommy. The only person feels left out most of the time is, unfortunately, Kristin. Being the youngest one, she's yet come to learn how to maneuver with the wii-mote. So far, the whole family has had so much fun doing Wii Sports together. Oh boy, Bryan's a natural when it comes to bowling. I get to play baseball for the 1st time. Ever! And finally, I have someone to play tennis with.

And whoever says that video games get in the way of learning? Try Big Brain Academy! It really is a bad idea to play Big Brain after the kids are in bed. We find that we are too alert to go to sleep at 2 o'clock in the morning!
